ABOUT BASTET:
Known as one of the main goddesses of the Egyptian pantheon, Bastet was a goddess of cats, the sun, the East, fire, love, intoxication, music, dancing, joy, celebration, fertility, secrets, magic, and sex. She was a protector, a goddess of perfume, a guardian of Lower Egypt, a vengeful goddess, and the divine mother of the Pharaoh.
Today, Bastet's spirit continues to grace the world, casting her protection over the modern cats, protecting households, and individuals from disease and evil spirits. She is honored for her nurturing, protective, and destructive capacities.

Trim candlewicks to ¼ inch each time before burning. Long or crooked wicks can cause uneven burning and dripping.
Always use a candle-holder specifically designed for candle use. The holder should be heat resistant, sturdy, and large enough to contain any drips or melted wax.
Be sure the candle-holder is placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface. This can help prevent heat damage to underlying surfaces and prevent glass containers from breaking.
Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.
